MCC in Sydney – Center of business leaders from five continents

Business delegation of the Macedonian Chambers of Commerce (MCC), the day before the start of the prestigious 10th World Chamber Congress, this year held in Sydney from 19th to 21st of September, held official meetings with the Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia in Australia, H.E. Mr. Vele Trpevski and the President of the Macedonian – Australian Chamber of Commerce Mr. Georgi Mihaylov. The Executive Director of the MCC, Mr. Alexander Zarkov and the President of the Tourist Catering Chamber, Mr. Arkan Kerim, with the Ambasador and the President of Macedonian – Australian Chamber of Commerce discussed about the potentials for cooperation between companies from both countries. Macedonian businessmen from Australia invest in our country mostly in the construction sector, and mainly food products are exported. Also, the need for enriching the tourist offer of Macedonia for the Diaspora was emphasized.

The MCC delegation, participates at the unique side programme for expand their learning experience and build their capacity in international trade and bi-lateral cooperation.  Advancing trade and investment opportunities between Australia and Middle East North Africa (MENA) was the topic of the conference in order to promote the economic connectivity for global trade success, by analyzing the fastest growing sectors, perceiving their challenges and opportunities for networking and linking business leaders from the region. Australia is a country where the service sector is more than 70% of their GDP, followed by the tourism and education sectors.

Also, the MCC delegation participated in the Conference organized by the Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI), within which high-level public and private sector representatives discussed important issues in the fields of water, energy and environment, food and agriculture, health and education, trade facilitation, ICT, and the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

In anticipation of the official launch of the 10th World Comoros Congress, Sydney is the center of business leaders from the five continents.
