Intensification of the economic cooperation between Macedonia and India was the focus of the meeting between the President of the Macedonian Chambers of Commerce (MCC) Danela Arsovska and the newly appointed Ambassador of India to the Republic of Macedonia, Pooja Kapur.
The meeting was attended by the Presidents of the Chambers of Commerce within the Alliance, and a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Balkan-Indian Business Association (BIBA) was signed, which is aimed at expanding and developing the economic cooperation between the Balkan countries and India .
– Strengthening economic ties, deepening economic cooperation and enhancing the trade exchange between the countries for utilizing the potential of the Indian market for Macedonian companies are our commitments for the next period, Arsovska stressed, adding that the Memorandum of Cooperation is expected to provide business communication, Encourage initiatives for joint participation in conferences, symposiums and current data exchange for improving business relations.
According to the MCC, India has seen significant economic growth in recent years. The total trade between the two countries last year was 58.4 million euros, of which export was 17.4 million euros, and import 41 million euros.
